Bucket Type Strainer
Flow-Tek Bucket Type Strainers are ideally suited for systems where solid contamination levels are relatively low and routine maintenance is minimal. These strainers are commonly utilized in gaseous service lines including steam, compressed air, nitrogen, and natural gas applications.The robust cylindrical body design provides exceptional structural strength, enabling reliable performance under high-pressure conditions frequently encountered in such services. Operating pressures up to 6000 psi can be accommodated with ease.In steam applications, elevated temperatures present additional operating challenges. Steam pressures of approximately 1500 psi may correspond to temperatures reaching up to 1000°F, and the strainer is engineered to perform dependably under these demanding conditions.
Bucket Type Strainers are designed for versatile installation and can be fitted in both vertical and horizontal pipeline configurations. To ensure proper debris accumulation, the screen chamber must be oriented downward so that collected particles settle efficiently and remain contained until removal.These strainers are supplied with high-grade stainless steel screens, manufactured with strict dimensional accuracy to ensure a seamless fit within the body. The precisely machined seating area enhances sealing integrity, effectively preventing unfiltered media from bypassing the screen and ensuring dependable filtration performance under demanding operating conditions.
