Pot Type Strainer
Flow-Tek Pot Type Strainers are designed for applications where the solid content is relatively low and frequent cleaning is not required. They are widely used in gaseous services such as steam, air, nitrogen, and natural gas.The compact and robust cylindrical construction provides exceptional strength, enabling the strainer to withstand high-pressure conditions commonly found in such services. Operating pressures of up to 6000 psi can be accommodated.In steam applications, where both high pressure and elevated temperatures are present, these strainers perform reliably—even at conditions such as 1500 psi at temperatures approaching 1000°F.
Pot Type Strainers can be installed in both horizontal and vertical pipelines, offering flexibility during system design. For optimal performance, the screen element must always be positioned on the lower side of the body, allowing solids to settle and remain securely trapped for easy removal.Flow-Tek heavy-duty Pot Strainers are fitted with precision-engineered stainless steel screens that align perfectly within the housing. Along with a machined seating surface, this design prevents bypass and ensures dependable filtration under demanding operating conditions.
