Steam Application Safety Valve
The Flow-Tek Series FT-500 Relief Valves are designed for steam service applications in accordance with ASME Section VIII. These valves come standard with an open-cap design and a conventional lifting lever. In the FT-500 open-bonnet configuration, the spring is exposed to the atmosphere to ensure effective cooling. Optional accessories, such as a test gag and governor ring, are available to meet IBR (Industrial Boiler Regulation) requirements where applicable.

For set pressures above 30 kg/cm², a special Inconel 725 disc is used. The standard disc is SS316, while the nozzle is made of SS410, suitable for steam temperatures up to 42 °C.
The body and bonnet are made of ASTM A216 Gr.WCB as standard for steam temperatures up to 420 °C. For steam temperatures between 420 °C and 480 °C, WC6 body and bonnet are used, while for temperatures from 480 °C to 538 °C, WC9 body and bonnet are recommended.
