Duplex Strainer
Flow-Tek Duplex Strainers are designed for applications requiring reliable filtration with minimal operational interruption. Ideal for systems with relatively low solid contamination, the duplex arrangement enables one straining chamber to function while the other is serviced, ensuring continuous flow and reduced downtime.Commonly applied in steam, air, nitrogen, and natural gas services, these strainers are built with a robust body construction capable of withstanding demanding pressure environments. They are engineered to perform efficiently under pressures reaching up to 6000 psi.Steam service conditions often introduce elevated temperature challenges. With steam pressures of approximately 1500 psi and temperatures nearing 1000°F, the design ensures durability, strength, and consistent operational integrity in high-temperature applications.
Duplex Strainers are designed for flexible installation and may be mounted in either horizontal or vertical piping systems. For correct operation, the screen chamber must always be oriented downward to allow accumulated debris to settle effectively and remain securely contained until removal.The units are supplied with premium-grade stainless steel screens, precisely manufactured to ensure an accurate and secure fit within the strainer housing. The finely machined seating surface enhances sealing performance and minimizes the possibility of unfiltered media bypass, thereby maintaining consistent and dependable filtration efficiency.
